Team Managers
Position Description
We require a parent to volunteer as a team manager. The role is to act as a support for the coach(es), players and parents and the interaction between these members is vital.
The manager needs to be a good communicator and organiser with the role requiring;
- Develop Table Duty Roster
- Send Weekly Reminder of Game TIme In Team App Chat
- Note any absences and let Coach know if player numbers are low for the upcoming game.
- Bring a set of Caps and Set of Balls on Game Day
Formalities
Managers are required to;
- Hold a Blue Card, for details on applying and copies of forms please vist this link > Blue Card Info
- Formally Register with Water Polo Australia; note the fee is refundable by the club upon request
- Be aware of insurance provisions; refer detaisl at this link > Insurance Details
- Ensure that an incident report is completed by the pool coordinator should it be required..
Game Day Checklist
For BWPI Competition the following is a quick list of things to do on game day;
- Make sure the nomianted parent is available for table duty.
- Collect Card from Table prior to game – remember the other team might have it already
- Get Kids to Sign
- Make sure card gets back to table for start of game
- Allocate Caps to Kids – You’ll need a list with cap numbers other than the one printed on the card.
- The Team Manager is a recognised official and allowed to sit on the team bench during the game.
