Season Costs

Introduction

The fees for a typical season follow; all Dollar Values are inclusive of GST.  As an example for 2021-2022 the cost for playing in a single BWPI team was $150 (to WPA) + $590 (Club Fee) = $740

Some, but not all of these costs can be factored if a player joins part way through a season; this should be discussed with the relevant age group coordinator.

WPA Registration Fee

A Registration Fee is payable direct to Water Polo Australia and includes player insurance.  Registration is from the Start of Summer Competition each year for 12 months and covers all other tournaments.

BWPI Summer Competition

The BWPI Summer competition fees includes components for The University of Queensland Water Polo Club Fees, a Family Levy and Training Pool Entry Fees.  

The Family Levy is a Volunteer Levy refundable if a family member volunteers during the season, eg Team Manager, Committee Member

The Training Pool Entry fee covers entry to pools used for training - this is in lieu of paying upon entry and covers all Training Sessions associated with the BWPI Summer Competition.  It is impractical to charge based on an individual's attendance at Training. 

If a player joins more than one team and additional club fee applies per each additional team.  For 2021-2022, if a player was to play two games, fee is $590+$175 = $765 plus WPA Registration Fee.

QLD States

The QLD States are held in annually and a separate entry fee applies.  This fee covers team entry costs plus an allowance for book keeping, coaching and additional training.

AYWPC "Nationals"

The AYWPC are held annually and a serpate entry fee applies.  The Entry Fee for this tournament has inclusions consistent with the QLD States and is exclusive of any Travel or Accommodation Costs.

BWPI Winter Competition

** BWPI WInter Competition duration has varied greatly each year and this is reflected in the annual fee.
