Look who's coaching this season at UQWPC.
Some of our spectacular coaching staff for 2022/23 on our girls U12-U18, A Grade and Premier League side!
We have the energetic Simon Daley teaching the all-important basics to the U12's Girls & Boys and setting the foundation. We welcome the Stinger’s captain (2000 Olympics) Bridgette Ireland to share her craft with the 16 girls. Multi winning Dutch National Björn Galjaardt and UK legend Jo Farrell will be taking charge of the 18's this season. Leading the Premier League Women’s team will be triple Olympian Mel Rippon. These are just a few of our highly accomplished senior coaching staff the kids will be learning their water polo skills from.
Joining them will be some of our senior players. Iesha Feeney, Sally Chambers and Zoe Smith return for another season with our younger players. Lara Edgar joins us from Sydney, jovial Justin Wynn is back & past player Taylor Varga joins the coaching team. You will see many of our junior players giving back to the club and starting their coaching journey working with our experienced coaches at the N2WP and 12 – 14 Years Skills session.
Trials will occur right up to and including Tuesday 13 September when the team lists for the 2022/23 season will be posted, training will continue for the remainder of the week prior to the school holidays.
Please note: Players in A teams for U12, 14 , 16 & 18 teams MUST be primary registered players with UQWPC for the BWPI Competition to attend State & National Competitions (State Titles & AYWPC) for UQWPC representative teams. Any exemptions to be considered by the President and two other committee members (boys/girls’ representatives).
