Information about the 2022-2023 Brisbane Water Polo (BWPI) season, including training, trials and season info for boys and girls will be posted in the specific tabs. Australian Youth Championship will be held in January 2023 (week 2 and 3) in Perth. Queensland State Championships most likely will be held over the Easter holidays, where the BWPI finals will be held in March/April.
UQWPC-Barras pathway; we started this pipeline for a life long water polo opportunity, whether competitive or socially. Formely Brisbane Barracudas, going foward since 2021 as UQ Water Polo Club - Barras. It provides the opportunity to support scholarships and educational pathways. From coach/ref education to work placements in our sport. The use of two pools and the lead into a Brisbane 2032 Games, and the uniqueness of the only IOC accredited UQ Centre for Olympic and Paralympic Studies will see more opportunities in facilities or sport support. UQ also provides representative games e.g. Uni Nats, Intervarsity, Inter College Championships, and UQ Social Sport if you are a student. For non students and juniors we will also provide pathways from New 2 Water Polo, followed by U12s to U18s for girls and boys and for A Grade, B Grade and C Grade Mixed and Premier League (and future National League) for our seniors.
